Job Development and Placement

We all face the need to develop our skills and abilities to get and keep a job. Northwest Family Services can help you learn skills to find, get, and keep a job. We work with the Oregon State Office of Vocational Rehabilitation Services to link their clients to existing and future jobs in the community. We also conduct a quarterly CareerFit workshop series to help equip those looking for a job with essential job hunting skills.

Job Placement (in partnership with the Oregon Office of Vocational Rehabilitation Services, OVRS)

We work with OVRS to be a resource for people when they have the skills to get and keep a job. OVRS provides skilled counseling and guidance, assessment services, assistance technology, training services and job placement.

Our staff links the clients of OVRS to existing or upcoming job opportunities in areas identified by clients. We prospect job openings, conduct needs analysis of employers, share how clients can fill the needs of employers and follow up with clients once they have gotten a job. Our ultimate goal is to have clients successfully placed in long-term jobs.
