Compensation: $80,000 - $87,000/yr

This position provides evidence-based burnout prevention for agency housing staff through staff skill development and ongoing training. In addition, this position will provide support and consultation regarding the participants being served.

Summary  

This position provides evidence-based burnout prevention for agency housing staff through staff skill development and ongoing training. In addition, this position will provide support and consultation regarding the participants being served.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Provide support for staff of agency housing department such as working through vicarious trauma, calming and boundary setting strategies, understanding the manifestations of mental health, and confidential referrals for external, ongoing treatment if needed.
  • Provide and/or coordinate all-staff trainings on behavioral health topics brought forth by the housing staff
  • Build relationships with existing community partners to foster strong collaborations—including Clackamas County Behavioral Health, Mobile Crisis Team, and treatment centers
  • Accompany housing staff to home and community visits to support program participants with connection to crisis stabilization services to help address mental health issues of program participants, including domestic and sexual violence, and acute mental health crisis.
  • Conduct interviews with participants in order to evaluate their eligibility for mental health services.
  • Develop appropriate safety and treatment plan(s) for housing staff to use with participants, with the goal of maintaining housing stability, if need be.
  • Work collaboratively with other staff members to ensure that program participants maintain connections with the available community resources they need.
  • As needed, provide screening and referral services for participants in order to evaluate their eligibility for mental health & SUD services.
  • As needed, support participant transition into permanent mental health services.

General Responsibilities

  • Follow the protocol, policies, and procedures of the department, agency, and state.
  • Maintain accurate and complete participant and program documentation on a consistent basis.
  • Complete and submit reports as needed.
  • Maintain confidentiality of client information and comply with HIPAA guidelines.
  • Provide culturally responsive services that are equitable, respectful, and relevant to people from a wide variety of cultures, backgrounds and orientations.
  • Attend meetings (in-person, telehealth and virtual) as required.
  • Attend training in order to maintain QMHP or licensure. Attend other trainings as needed.
  • Regularly participate in professional development.

Education / Experience

Education / Experience

  • A QMHP-R with 2 years of experience in a role that includes training and coaching other professionals; Or a QMHA-R with 5 years of experience in a role that includes training and coaching other professionals.
  • Experience providing community-based mental health services utilizing mental health intervention practices, conflict resolution, and family engagement/mobilization.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of community and social service agencies.
  • Have an understanding of vulnerable populations, particularly chronically homeless communities, the barriers they experience and the common struggles of transitioning to stable housing.
  • Preferred to have an understanding of co-occurring disorders and the way substance use can exacerbate mental health symptoms.
