Development Coordinator

Compensation: $24.50 - $27.50/Hour

The Development Coordinator is responsible for planning, including sponsorship and procurement, the organization’s fund- and friend- raising events and assisting with other development activities.

What You'll Do

Primary Responsibilities

  • Manage all aspects of the annual gala and other special fundraising events, including:
    • event budget
    • logistics
    • registration
    • sponsorship/procurement
    • event planning committee
    • volunteers
    • communications and promotional materials
    • event fundraising plan
  • Be the point person for e-Tapestry and work with the administrative team to ensure the donor database is updated and current.
  • Ensure all donors are adequately thanked and recognized.
  • Collaborate with communications, admin, and program teams on:
    • Annual impact report
    • Special fundraising opportunities (KATU Season of Giving / Give Guide / Giving Tuesday, etc)
    • Community Builder friend-raiser gatherings
  • Regular attendance is required.
  • Other development-related duties as assigned.

General Responsibilities

  • Follow the protocol, policies, and procedures of the department and agency.
  • Complete and submit reports as needed.
  • Maintain confidentiality of client information and comply with HIPAA guidelines.
  • Provide culturally responsive services that are equitable, respectful, and relevant to people from a wide variety of cultures, backgrounds, and orientations.
  • Attend meetings and trainings as required.

Who You Are

Education and Experience

  • Proven experience as an event planner.
  • At least one year of experience in non-profit development.
  • Computer savvy, proficient in MS Office.
  • Familiar with donor management software, experience with e-Tapestry a plus.

  • Bilingual English/Spanish preferred.

  • If using a personal vehicle on company business, one must have a valid driver’s license and meet minimum automobile insurance requirements.
