Ana Maria Milburn (McClellan) is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) through the State of Oregon and holds a Master of Social Work (MSW) specializing in Mental Health from Virginia Commonwealth University (1990).  She completed undergraduate studies at the School of Languages and Linguistics at Georgetown University (1986).  Ana Maria lived in various countries in Latin America and Europe for twenty years and has worked with refugees and immigrants in a variety of social work and counseling settings.  She considers herself a bridge by which clients can learn about and access services to live, grow, and thrive in their communities.

Ana Maria is the Manager of the Mental Health Department and works with individuals, families, couples and groups in English and Spanish.  She draws upon an eclectic array of practice modalities and psychodynamic theories including Family Systems; Cognitive Behavioral Therapy; Developmental/Psychosocial stages; Communication and Narrative therapy guided by a culturally attuned and trauma informed approach.

I believe that exploring and understanding a person's story, including family of origin and cultural influences is critical in identifying trauma; repetitive behavioral and relational patterns; as well as positive and negative coping strategies. I consider the process and journey of healing to be uniquely personal.  I see my role as supportive and educational with a collaborative emphasis on identifying strengths, improving communication and healthy boundaries.  I am deeply committed to engaging and working with each individual whether in English or Spanish, in a way which promotes their health as a whole person: body, mind and spirit.
