Liz Sheridan, CSWA, QMHP
Liz Sheridan is a Certified Social Work Associate (CSWA) through the Oregon Board of Licensed Social Workers. She obtained her Masters of Social Work (MSW) with a focus on Child and Family Services from Edinboro University of Pennsylvania in 2017 and has been working in our school-based Truancy Prevention Program as an Academic Case Manager, Supervisor, and Mental Health Counselor since.
Lizobtained her Bachelor’s of Science in Psychology with a focus on Child and Family Studies from Portland State University in 2009. Liz has worked with youth and their families in various capacities as a Therapeutic Skills Trainer, Preschool Teacher, Family Advocate, Child and Family Counseling Intern and School Social Work Intern.
Liz takes a Trauma-Informed and Strengths-Based Approach when working with youth and families to support optimal understanding of the complex systems that impact the youth and families she serves. Liz utilizes concepts from Family Systems Theory, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Motivational Interviewing, Dialectical Behavior Therapy, Trauma-Informed Care, Collaborative Problem Solving, and Mindfulness in working with her clients.
