Iliana Fontal is the Manager in charge of the Employment Assistance Department of Northwest Family Services. The department is responsible for delivering job readiness services to individuals over 16 years old and also people with disabilities. Iliana coordinates services for about 1500 individuals each year.
Mrs. Fontal has experience as a Research Assistant at NWFS, working with a University of Oregon project Evaluator on developing strategies to collect data, assessing fidelity of implementation and coordinating quality assurance activities. In this role Mrs. Fontal also provided staff trainings in compliance with the IRB in order to protect human subjects; trained own staff on effective recruitment, confidentiality and logistics.
Mrs. Fontal has over 7 years’ experience working in the Family Strengthening and Workforce Development field. Her work as an Employment Assistance Department Manager includes overseeing project deliverables for a federal grant project, and for local government contracts. She holds a B.S. in Industrial Engineering and is skilled in program design and management, community development, and staff training and professional development. Her expertise includes setting the stage for program partners to work together cooperatively, planning and implementing programs, effectively communicating the goals of the program to potential funders and volunteers, identifying authentic opportunities for the organization to advance, and actively promoting the programs in the broader community.
